Voyager 1 & 2
Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 were launched in 1977. Both probes flew past Jupiter and Saturn; Voyager 2 also encountered Uranus and Neptune (after this film was made). The Voyagers have left the solar system, and are expected to continue to transmit back data

Thank you whoever rated this as a one. The voyager missions has revealed so much in regard to our solar system. Thirty five years later it still is sending us "useful" data from beyond our solar system, and will continue to transmit data until 2020 - when the batteries will be to weak to transmit.

In addition, if it were not for Voyager, we would not know such things as tidal distortion on Io. When the first image first came back, scientists were astonished to "see" volcanic activity on Io. One on many great finds by Voyager!
