PETMAN is an anthropomorphic robot for testing chemical protection clothing used by the US Army. PETMAN will balance itself and move freely; walking, and crawling to ensure the suits can resist stress & chemical warfare agents.

This is a great development that can be of huge importance such as adapting to help leg amputees walk,and the list goes on.

I am sure there will be a variety of military applications as well. Every thing from "mules" to bomb technicians.
