This is very educational considering where technology is taking us in our every day lives.Outstanding find Tibor.

Carbon fiber is the strongest fiber known. It has a tensile strength 100 times greater than steel. The term "nano" is derived from the concept of making from scratch. This technology, along with rare earth metals, allow us to make everyday "things" smaller. There is quite a future in store for nano technology.

In addition,carbon is the fourth most abundant element in the universe by weight, and without it, there would be no life on Earth. Depending on its crystal structure--how its atoms bond together--carbon can form several different substances, ranging from sooty coal to glittering diamonds to slippery-smooth graphite.
