The Elements: Forged in Stars
Fusion, which occurs when atomic nuclei combine to form new elements, is extremely powerful. All the stars in the universe, including the Sun, are nuclear furnaces fueled by fusion.

I wrote a story for my English class in the mid sixties about our solar system.
A junior student studied the solar system and galaxies.
He discovered that our solar system, our galaxy and surounding galaxies were alike to the sulphur composite.
During this story, I was mentioning about a camper setting up his campsite and getting ready to start a campfire.
Bottom line: When he struck his match our universe was destroyed.
What is true and what is fiction?
How do we know that our universe is nothing but a part of a bigger universe?
We study atoms (solar systems).
We study molecules (galaxies).
This has been a problem that I have lived with for years.
Please don't bring religion into this.

wow, that was a great video, i think this astronomy stuff is so interesting. Definitely added to my thoughts on the universe, they should teach this stuff in school as a part of chemistry.

As I have said before, if you have any gold, silver, platinum etc, appreciate it since it was made in a brilliant flash of light billions of years ago!
