It may be possible that at certain settings it wouldn't cause permanent damage... I just don't see the US hesitating to use the fatal ones.

If you think the debate about using in Iraq is something, then wait until you find out that our government wanted to test it out on our own civilian population (riot control, etc.) BEFORE even letting the military loose with it.

Your tax dollars in action. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Some people might think that I was exaggerating or being sarcastic above, because of my joking manner. Not so. To be clear: the government DID want to test this on American civilians before testing it for the military. Thankfully, cooler heads prevailed. But... who knows, next time?
